Description: 1949 National Champion Notre Dame "Fighting Irish" team signed football. Spalding Official Inter-Collegiate J5-V football has been signed by (29) including Head Coach Frank Leahy, Heisman Trophy winner Leon Hart, team Captain Jim Martin, and others. Period black fountain pen signatures rate consistently strong 7/8 to 8 out of 10. Ball has vintage "1949" notation written on with "Notre Dame 40 Navy 0" notation below with Hart and Martin having signed on either side for ideal display qualities. That particular game took place in Maryland before 62,000 fans. The 1949 team is considered the last great squad from Notre Dame's great dynasty of the era and one of the greatest college teams of All-Time.
