Description: "Pennant" brand leather football helmet c.1920s. Original dog ear style helmet with impressed "Pennant" manufacturer's markings and "1K 5255" model number. Several period handwritten notations relate to player named "W.L. Culp" and the "Ace Foot Ball Team." The helmet originates through our consignor from the Philadelphia area where a professional team of that name played in the era with Culp as a member. Displays a pleasing deep coloration with light to moderate wear which is slightly more pronounced on one side. Fully intact original chin strap: Overall EXEstimated Price Range: ($250-$500)
