Description: Babe Ruth autographed store model baseball bat c.1930s with direct provenance. Louisville Slugger 40B.R. model baseball bat with Babe Ruth facsimile signature burned into the barrel end. Well preserved with light scattered surface wear and age appropriate patina. "34" Inch designation stamped in knob. 4.5" Section of barrel surface has been rubbed away and it has been signed "Babe Ruth" in period fountain pen rating 2 to 3 out of 10. Includes several pages from the September 8, 1935 issue of the Louisville Courier-Journal which describes a contest in which this exact bat was awarded. Includes auction LOA from JSA: Bat EX/MT, Sig. VG
