Description: 1949 New York Yankees World Champions money clip with original box. Rare presentation piece features a circular central portion with period Yankees top-hat logo accented by a trio of red, white, and blue stones. Lettered around the edge is "World Champions 1949." Housed within original faux red leather lidded box which bears similar gold impressed Yankees logo with "Christmas 1949" below. Interior silk lined side of lid reads "Awards for Champions by Balfour." Although the piece is unmarked there is a "10 KT. Gold" label on the blue felt backing board.
