Description: Exceedingly scarce 1919 World Series press pin at Chicago. Striking gilt and enamelwork press pin as issued for the 1919 World Series games played at Chicago's Comiskey Park featuring a bust image of Charles Comiskey flanked by two "Sox" emblems. The pin remains in fine overall condition displaying a touch of surface wear at high points on the face and several spots on edge. Blue enamel fully intact. Back is marked "The Greenduck Co, Chicago." and retains threaded post and screw down closure. As is more often than not the case, the silk ribbon is not present. One of the most desirable pieces in the genre and only the second we have brought to auction in nearly (20) years: EX/MT
