Description: 1910 Sam Crawford handwritten letter with related telegram. September 8, 1910 (2) page handwritten letter to D.A. Fletcher on "Colonial Hotel" stationery. Reads in part, "Bush v myself are ready to go ahead + play…providing you can get the rest of the boys. We are sure that if the players will stick together we can go ahead + play all the games we want to. Hoping that the trip will still be pulled off, we are ready to follow you in the venture." Signed at the close, "Bush + Crawford" in Crawford's hand. Includes related telegram dated Sept. 21 displaying light consistent age toning and wear with folds from storage and chips at upper edge. Crawford, writing on behalf of himself and team mate Donnie Bush, was one of the most feared hitters in the game and alongside Ty Cobb head lead the Detroit Tigers to (3) American League pennants. Light consistent age toning throughout with scattered wear inclusive of fold lines from mailing which has slightly split at areas, staining to left edge of front pages, corner/edge wear, and series of pinholes and a touch of loss at top.
