Description: 1942 Babe Ruth autographed letter with mention of "Pride of the Yankees." Full page type written letter on "Samuel Goldwyn" stationery dated June 1, 1942 reads in part, "Many thanks for your nice telegram which I received in Hollywood when I was ill...I am especially happy to learn that you have recovered from you illness and that baseball helped you. I enjoyed working in "The Pride of the Yankees" and hope you will enjoy seeing the picture." Signed at the close "Babe Ruth" in period fountain pen rating 8 out of 10. Exhibits light consistent age toning with typical mailing folds. A touch of other light scattered wear includes a small blemish to the right of the signature and pinhole to the left mentioned for accuracy. Includes original mailing envelope and full LOA from JSA: Sig. NM, Letter EX, Envelope VG
