Description: Baseball attributed to 1925 World Series. Red and black stitched Spalding Official National League baseball bears period handwritten notation, "Oct. 9th 1925, first ball of World Series" on the side panel. Opposite side has been signed by Pittsburg Pirates player Babe Adams which was later enhanced. Heavy usage wear evident throughout with soiling and other discoloration. The Pirates faced the defending Champion Washington Senators in a Series that stretched a full (7) games and held on to win the World Series. The ball originates from a prominent Pittsburgh area collection that was assembled over several decades. Includes full LOA from JSA stating that the original underlying Adams signature is authentic: VG/EX-EX
