Lot Number: 389

Description: 1955 World Series Games 1, 2, 6, and 7 unused full tickets. Very rare set of (4) full unused tickets representing the 1955 World Series games which were played at Yankee Stadium. All remain connected in sheet form as issued with only the center perforation having been folded over (still fully attached), the other (2) are stiff and intact. Very well preserved with light even toning and scattered surface/edge wear. There is slightly yellowed residue mostly affecting the right hand portion of the game 2 ticket and minimally encroaching on the game 1. 1955 World Series full tickets represent some of the most desired within the genre as Brooklyn won its long awaited and first World Series Championship. Their rarity can be attributed to the ravenous appetite of New York area baseball fans in the 1950s and it is nearly inconceivable that such a grouping could have gone unused at the time and remained so well preserved in the nearly (56) years that have passed. Note that many "proof" sheets have surfaced however these lack printed on section/row/seat numbers. An incredible rarity and the first such set we have handled: EX-EX/MT
