Description: 1951 National League Playoff Game 3 full ticket to Bobby Thomson "Shot Heard Round the World" game. Full unused ticket to October 3, 1951 National League Championship Playoff game which took place at the Polo Grounds between the New York Giants and Brooklyn Dodgers. The powerful Giants team had fallen nearly 14 games out of first place by mid-August only to mount an incredible string of victories, winning 37 of their final 44 games to tie the Brooklyn team on the final day of the season and force the three-game playoff. The teams split the first two games forcing the decisive contest on October 3rd at the Polo Grounds. In the bottom of the ninth, Bobby Thomson connected for a dramatic three run homerun to capture the NL pennant for the Giants faithful. The offered represents the only full ticket to this historic game that we have handled. It is an exceptional rarity and remains in stunningly well preserved condition exhibiting little to no mentionable wear.
