Description: Don Drysdale autographed baseball attributed to his 58 consecutive scoreless inning streak. Spalding W.Giles ONL baseball has been signed on the side panel, "To Doretta - My Best Wishes, Don Drysdale June 4, 1968." The opposite panel bears "6" notation in unknown hand with "000000" below in reference to his 6 consecutive games with no runs scored. On June 4, when Drysdale pitched that 6th consecutive shutout game he astounded players throughout Major League Baseball finishing the day with (54) innings without the opposition putting a run on the board. Ball exhibits usage wear and soiling throughout and the signature rates 8 out of 10. While the ball can not be definitively placed in Drysdale's hands during the game it is highly likely that it is a game ball from that day given the dating, usage characteristics, and period notations.
