Description: 1972 Carlton Fisk handwritten letter (MVP and Rookie of the Year season). December 15, 1972 full page handwritten letter from Carlton Fisk just after his first full season in baseball with fantastic content. Reads in part "The reason why I was more successful this season is that I was able to maintain a higher level of concentration for a longer period of time...The toughest pitchers for me to hit against are Nolan Ryan, Gaylord Perry, and Mickey Lolich...The toughest part about catching is the physical & mental strain over a substantial period of time." Signed at the close "Best Regards, Carlton Pudge Fisk." Blue ink signature and handwriting rate 8/9 out of 10. One of the finest modern-era Hall of Fame early career letters we have encountered.
