Description: 1999 Upper Deck Piece of History Babe Ruth Legendary Cut & Game Used Bat card. Extremely desirable insert card literally revolutionized the modern baseball card market marking the first time that chips of a game-used bat were inserted into product. Upper Deck had, the previous year, very publicly purchased the bat at auction with the stated purpose of generating interest in their product line. (550) Babe Ruth bat cards were released and a special incentive (3) cards had authentic signatures placed within as well. Collectors within this field recognize this card as one the most desirable ever made. Card displays (4) sharp corners with a "touch" to the lower right and along the left and upper edges on back.
