Description: Ty Cobb single signed baseball c.1961. Cream color Spalding "League Special" baseball having been signed on the side panel in green ink, "To Hugh From Ty Cobb 6/20/61". Signature remains very clean rating 8 out of 10. Very desirable single signature Cobb ball which was certainly one of the last he signed given his passing just under one month later on July 17, 1961. The ball was signed to the grandson of Cobb's personal physician Dr. Richard Hugh Wood who was attending to Cobb upon admittance to Emory Hospital in 1961.
