Description: 1897 Chicago vs. Northwestern football game presentational pin. Ornate Victorian era pin with ribbon issued for game played between Chicago University and Northwestern on October 23, 1897. Brass faced pinback includes its original silk ribbon with gilt letter titling and melon style football graphic. "Linesman" at the bottom with embroidered brass tassels remaining intact beneath. Fine general condition except for some horizontal separation to the silk ribbon just below the joint to the pin: VGEstimated Price Range: ($200-$400)
