Description: 1960 Willie Mosconi trophy defeating Irving Crane. Figural trophy stands 17.5" tall with handling cup supporting player with cue atop a square wooden base. Engraved metal placard at front reads, "Comd'r Wm.S.Stuhr Award At Julian's, Willie Mosconi defeated Irving Crane 750-462, New York Dec. 15, 1960." Although not a household name like Mosconi, Crane is considered one of the all-time greats and was a long time rival. The offered trophy was surely a piece which inspired much pride while displayed in the Mosconi home. Very light general wear.
