Description: Lot of (9) Willie Mosconi "Pocket Billiard Champion" exhibition advertising posters c.1947-1957. 17"x21.75" to 18.5"x24" Posters, each announcing an appearance with Brunswick endorsement along the lower edge. "Date" and "Time" spaces left blank and the broadsides would be used as he traveled from city to city. All had been stored folded and bear a horizontal and vertical crease; they were later rolled. Varying degrees of wear throughout including nicks, tears, and corner creasing. Most all would display at a greater level than technical condition assessment if framed. There are (3) different variations represented including (2) c.1947, (3) c.1957, and (2) with no date printed on which are presumed c.1950s. These represent some of the most visually appealing period display pieces of the genre and despite the quantity in this sale should be regarded as scarce and seldom offered.
