Description: Lot of (15) Willie Mosconi "World Pocket Billiard Champion" exhibition advertising posters c.1947. 18.5"x24" Poster announcing an appearance with Brunswick endorsement along the lower edge. "Date" and "Time" spaces left blank and the broadsides would be used as he traveled from city to city. All had been stored folded and bear a horizontal and vertical crease; they were later rolled. Varying degrees of edge wear including mostly minute nicks, tears, and corner creasing. Several show more intrusive wear however it generally does not encroach more than (1) inch from the edge. A few bear red paint catchphrase notations which were added in the period. Most all would display at a greater level than technical condition assessment if framed. These represent one of the most visually appealing period display pieces of the genre and despite the quantity in this sale, they should be regarded as scarce and seldom offered.
