Description: Scarce Jean Ratelle 1962-63 Baltimore Clippers professional model wool jersey. Striking original wool jersey as worn by Hall of Fame member Jean Ratelle while playing for the Baltimore Clippers during their inaugural season in the American Hockey League. Jersey retains its original crest (one year style) across the front with skating ship's captain graphic. Black, orange, and white wool sweater displays uniform number 15 on both shoulders and back. Gerry Cosby manufacturer tagging affixed into the collar area with "48" size tag. The jersey shows evident use including several period team repairs to the sleeve and back of the shirt. A few small holes are present to the back of the tail area. Regarded as one of the greatest hockey players in the history of the game, Ratelle's consistent play during the course of his career ranks him among the most elite of players.
