Description: Warren Spahn professional model baseball cleats c.1940-50s. Pair of black leather Rawlings "Fleetfoot" cleats as obtained by an usher at Milwaukee County Stadium who worked under field superintendent Al Oliver. The cleats retain their original tongues one of which has "Rawlings Fleetfoot" manufacturing label on the inside. Both tongues have "21" written in period red ink with one also having "Spahn" in similar red ink. The cleats exhibit excellent usage wear with one missing its original laces. Spahn is photographed wearing similar cleats with one manufacturing label on the interior. Very fine pair of game cleats with desirable primary provenance source. Includes LOA from Hunt Auctions and letter of provenance from the family of the original recipient: VG-EX
