Description: Significant Earl Weaver retired number presentation display. 16.25"x20.25" Lucite display housing a Baltimore Orioles jersey with "Weaver 4" visible on back as presented to Earl Weaver by the organization upon retirement of his number in 1982. One of only (6) uniform numbers retired by the Orioles (not counting the League wide retirement of Jackie Robinson's (42) and to the best of our knowledge the only presentation piece which has been offered publicly. Weaver stands as a legendary figure within the culture of Baltimore area baseball having spent his entire (17) year managerial career with the Orioles. Under his leadership the team had a winning record (16) out of (17) times, won (4) American-League pennants, and a World Series title in 1970.
