Description: April 17, 1951 Phillies vs. Dodgers Opening Day at Ebbets Field game-used baseball (Roberts complete game win). Used during game which marked of the first of the National League's 75th Anniversary season for each club. Roberts pitched a complete (9) innings for his first win of the year. Hand painted baseball has game information lettered on with noteworthy attention to detail including inning by inning scoreboard, rendering of homerun balls (hit by Ennis and Goliat) flying over the outfield wall, and numerous lengthy notations. Desirable ball as used in one of baseball's fabled venues. Includes letter of provenance from the Roberts family: EXEstimated Price Range: ($500-$1,000)
