Description: Robin Roberts 2008 Philadelphia Phillies World Series ring. The story of the 2008 World Championship team is still being written. The players and staff from the team have rightfully earned a spot within the hearts of Philadelphia fans much in the fashion of the predecessors. Names such as Utley, Rollins, Howard, and Hamels have become part of the fabric of the team history much like Schmidt, Carlton, Ashburn, and Roberts before them. As such, it is with great honor that we present Robin Roberts' personal 2008 World Series ring. The ring itself is a beautifully crafted of a 14 karat white gold having inset -P" logo having a ruby inlay on the top encircled by -World Champions" lettering. One side panel displays the World Series trophy with -2008" date along with both Phillies and Tampa Bay logos. Other side panel features -ROBERTS" above a Phillies Liberty Bell logo and -36" for Robin's uniform number (retired). Interior ring band is simply marked -14K". A total of (103) diamonds are found within the ring to commemorate the 103 wins by the 2008 team with a total weight of 3.84 karats. The ring includes its original glass lidded mahogany presentation box with -Philadelphia Phillies 2008 World Champions" etched onto the top. The offered ring serves as an appropriate bridge between the storied history of the franchise and its players with the benchmark of excellence being built by the current team. Outstanding rarity ranking as one of the more important Philadelphia Phillies award pieces to have been offered at auction. Includes COA from Masters of Design and letter of provenance from the Roberts family: NM-MT
