Description: Robin Roberts 1950 Philadelphia Phillies NL Championship commemorative ring. Very fine quality 10K gold ring as issued to Robin Roberts to commemorate the legendary -Whiz Kids" 1950 NL Championship team. The top of the ring features an inset gold baseball on a red field encircled with -Phillies Whiz Kids NL Champions" lettering. One side panel pictures a relief image of Shibe Park with -Roberts" above while the other side panel has a relief image of Veteran's Stadium with -Pitcher 1975". Marked Balfour 10K on the interior ring band. Size 10. The ring was presented to Roberts in 1975 on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the 1950 NL Champion Phillies team. Very fine ring dating to the lone World Series appearance of Roberts storied career. Includes its original Balfour lidded box.
