Description: Desirable 1913 Notre Dame football team photograph with Knute Rockne. Period 10"x13.25" sepia toned photograph depicts Rockne in his only season playing football for Notre Dame. (4) Years later he would take over coaching duties and embark on a storied career. Exhibits typical age toning and scattered creasing including several heavy vertical creases which were flattened in the mounting process and in-painted. "Bagley" studio stamp in lower right corner. Originates from the Rockne family collection and includes copy of original letter of provenance from his grand daughter. Despite noted condition flaws the image retains fine display qualities: Technical VG/EXEstimated Price Range: ($500-$750)
