Description: Unusual transitional style leather football helmet c.1915. Uniquely styled early helmet offering little more protection than the turn of the century head harness. Employs scull cap design with cross straps holding body of helmet and "dog ear" like ear flaps. Retains original chin strap although the closure/clasp may be missing from (1) ear flap. Exhibits light usage wear with original owners name etched at top: EXEstimated Price Range: ($500-$750)
