Description: Rare late 19th century football "Union Suit" vest. Desirable laced front sleeveless vest was the preferred football "uniform" in an era when players wore little in the way of protective equipment. Well preserved with even toning of the material and scattered spotting. Name "W.VanDeventer" has been handwritten on inside tail in period ink.
