Description: Boston Red Sox warm up jacket attributed to Charlie Wagner c.1940s. Heavy gauge blue wool jacket with its original embroidered Red Sox logo on the front. Tim McAuliffe tagging remains inside the collar with "50" size tag. "50" size tag also repeats inside one pocket interior. "Smithson #17" is written in black marker on a vintage patch applied inside collar. There are no players by that name or number from that era, indicating the jacket may have been passed to Wagner from a non-roster player in the period. Some of the buttons show corrosion from age with areas of paint flaking. Classic Red Sox uniform item with impeccable player provenance.
