Description: Joe DiMaggio's personal April 4, 1951 Joe DiMaggio and Mickey Mantle photograph. Historic image pictures the veteran Yankee slugger standing next to rookie Mickey Mantle at Ebbets Field before an exhibition game. It was Mantle's first New York Major League appearance. The image itself retains strong contrast with some typical light surface wear including a few toning spots. Period dating and paper identification remains affixed to the reverse. Interestingly, the offered image is the only example found within the DiMaggio collection of Mantle and DiMaggio pictured together during their playing careers.
