Description: Joe DiMaggio's personal photograph with Lou Gehrig dated Sep. 29, 1936. Exceptional sepia tone 8"x10" image picturing Lou Gehrig and Joe DiMaggio during Joe's inaugural 1936 season. The photo retains excellent clarity and contrast with some typical light surface wear. The bottom left corner has a chip and a horizontal crease runs across the photo at the bottom edge. Matted and framed to a size of 6 1/2"x10" with the crease and corner chip not visible under the matting. DiMaggio had modeled his game and demeanor after Lou Gehrig for whom he had a great deal of respect and admiration.
