Description: Roberto Clemente professional model baseball bat c. 1969-72. Louisville Slugger 125 model bat measures 34" long and weighs 31.4oz. Bat shows heavy use including ball marks, stitching impressions, pine tar residue, and professionally repaired handle crack. Model O16 stamped on knob end with "21" written in period red marker on both knob and barrel ends. It is important to note that while Clemente did in fact use O16 model bats earlier in his career he did not specifically order this model bat, of these specifications, during the labeling period on this bat. The bat appears to be a team ordered index bat of that period with possible use by Clemente but cannot be guaranteed. In any case, a fine Clemente professional model display bat with impeccable provenance.
