Description: Franklin Adams handwritten letter c.1940s. Personal stationary with short handwritten note signed "F.P.A." rating 7/8 out of 10. Exhibits minor age toning with typical mailing folds and light scattered wear. Adams was a noted American columnist in the early portion of the 20th Century and in 1910s penned "Baseballs' Sad Lexicon." The poem immortalized Chicago Cubs infielders Tinker, Evers, and Chance and remains steeped in American folklore. Includes calligraphic style handwritten copy of the poem, ideal for display with letter. Includes LOA from JSA: letter EX, Sig. EX/MT-NM
