Description: 1931 New York Daily News Golden Gloves (2) Ounce 14K gold medal. Visually pleasing award piece comprised of header with scalloped upper edge and (5) rectangular bars hanging below, all linked to circular medal portion which has boxing scene in relief. Header has been engraved "G.Hoffman" (Gustav Hoffman) with section below reading "Heavyweight Sub-Novice." All (7) portions of the award have been marked on the back "14K" with bars and header stamped "D&C" while medal portion bears full "Dieges & Clust" manufacturer's mark. Light scattered handling and surface wear.
