Description: Extremely rare 1942 St. Louis Cardinals World Series press pin. 2" Button style press pin dates to the War Years and as a result of metal shortages was manufactured out of paper and cardboard with plastic face. Exhibits very minor age toning to plastic surface. Intact safety pin style back marked "St. Louis Button Company." One of the rarest and most desirable of all post-1920 pins, this is the first example we have handled or seen offered in recent memory.
