Description: Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig autographed album page with related material c.1927. Fine assortment of material related to 1927 Bustin’ Babes and Larrupin' Lou’s Barnstorming tour including a 4”x5” string bound autograph album containing single sheet which has been signed “Babe Ruth” and “Lou Gehrig” in period fountain pen rating 8 (Ruth) to 9 (Gehrig) out of 10, (3) approximately 3”x4.5” sepia toned photographs including individual shots of Ruth and Gehrig and an additional image of the two of them standing together (light general wear and age toning with notations on front and back), and newspaper clipping from the mid 70s relating the story of the signing and newsprinted version of Ruth/Gehrig image. Notations on back of images date the signing to October 18, 1927. Fascinating grouping with relation to fabled Barnstorming Tour as put on by the greatest baseball stars of the era.
