Description: Gil Hodges professional model baseball bat c.1953. Louisville Slugger 125 model bat measures 34" long and weighs 33 oz. The bat exhibits fine usage including ball marks, stitching impressions, cleat marks, and checking to the back of the barrel. Model #K55 stamped on the knob end which corresponds to Hodges bat record orders on May 13, 1953. While similar orders were placed by the Dodgers team after 1954 it is noteworthy that the lettering in the word "Genuine" is 'tightly' spaced indicative of a pre-1954 style. Desirable Brooklyn/L.A.
