Rawlings G.Budig OAL orange stitched baseball with commemorative "Ripken 8" logo printed on side panel has been signed on the sweet spot in blue ink. The signature rates 8-9 out of 10. It stands atop a very short list of records, across the entire spectrum of sports, that will likely never be broken. As a friend of Cal Ripken Jr., Chili Davis was selected as the on field member of the opposing California Angels team during the game. Historic game used baseballs of this type with credible sources are notably rare. Given the unbroken chain of first hand provenance, the offered can be considered one of the more significant modern era game balls to come to market.
