Description: Fine Ty Cobb autographed large format photograph with related handwritten correspondence. Sepia toned 6.75"x11.5" photograph depicting a young Cobb during the height of his playing career with the Detroit Tigers has been signed on the front, "Ty Cobb, 1/12/50." The vintage green fountain pen signature rates 8 out of 10. Exhibits light surface wear with minimal creasing at the upper edge. Accompanied by a series of related correspondence between Howard Muller (3 file copy letters) and a handwritten letter from Cobb dated between Aug. 1949 and Feb. 1950. Handwritten letter appears on Cobb's personal letterhead and invites Muller to send the photo to be signed. Letter is signed "Sincerely, Ty Cobb" rating 9 out of 10. Light age toning with light area at the bottom. Framed together for display.
