Description: Fine Frank Baker autographed photograph with related handwritten correspondence. Period black and white 8"x10" photograph c.1930s is signed on the front in vintage blue fountain pen, "J. Franklin Baker." The signature rates 8/9 out of 10. Exhibits very minor scattered wear and surface soiling. Includes Oct. 4, 1948 autograph request from Howard Muller with handwritten and signed reply from Baker at the bottom. Baker is pictured in what appears to be his 1913 style Phila. A's uniform dating the image to his most prolific of homerun hitting years and the bookend season to the A's early 1910s dominance of the game. One of only a handful of examples that we have handled in nearly 20 years and arguably one of the finest we have seen.
