Description: 1958 Mickey Vernon Maryland Professional Baseball Player's Association Outstanding Player Award plaque. Shield shaped mahogany plaque has an applied brass fatade inscribed to Vernon by the prestigious MPBPA in honor of Vernon's accomplished 20 year career and exemplary sportsmanship. The brass facade has some typical surface scratching (most notably at top right) with general surface wear. Includes a vintage 8"x10" black and white image picturing Vernon with the award standing alongside other award recipients including Ernie Banks, Rocky Colavito, and Rocky Marciano.
