Description: 1905-06 "South Side Basketball" team cabinet photograph. Large format 17"x20" matted image pictures the team in early uniforms posed in a studio setting with a titled ball at center. Marked Fallert Studios at bottom margin along with team titling. Image quality is outstanding retaining perfect contrast and clarity. The South Side team is widely recognized as the finest local professional team in the history of the sport. Playing in the Central Basketball League from 1905 through 1911, the team twice defeated the famed Buffalo Germans whose claim was to never have lost a series to any team.
