Description: 1954 "Hawaiian Hula Bowl" football figural trophy. Fine quality figural trophy was presented in conjunction with the 1954 Hula Bowl played between the College All-Stars and the Hawaiian All-Stars on January 8, 1954. The trophy measures 15" wide by 16" tall with two figural players mounted on alabaster discs flanking a center plinth with a kneeling figure holding a ball at the top. Inscribed placard on the front has game and date titling. Rectangular placards on both side panels of the central wooden plinth list player names of the two respective teams including Babe Parilli and Crazy Legs Hirsch. Condition rates very fine with original gilt patina to the figurals intact and some typical age patination to the wooden surfaces: EXEstimated Price Range: ($750-$1,000)
