Spalding Official Inter-Collegiate J5-V football attributed to the November 15, 1947 Illinois vs. Ohio State game via handpainted notations on the side reading " 1947, Illinois 28 Ohio 12." It has been signed by approx. (33) members of the Illinois team incl. Lou Agase, Dwight Eddleman, Russell Steger, Bob Hinkle, Lou Levanti, Merle Schlosser, and others. The black ink signatures rate 7 to 9 (avg 8) out of 10. Exhibits usage wear and surface soiling missing a portion of the laces. Retains air although partially deflated. Includes a letter of provenance from former player Chick Maggioli stating that he was awarded the ball following the game. Includes LOA from JSA: EXEstimated Price Range: ($1000-$1500)
