Description: Brett Favre 2008 New York Jets game used Captain's patch jersey. Green home jersey manufactured by Reebok was worn by Favre in the game between the New York Jets and St. Louis Rams at New York on November 9th, 2008. Jersey features Favre's number "4" stitched on the front, back and both sleeves with Favre's name stitched on the back in white lettering. Exclusive tagging in the collar includes strip tag reading "08-52" denoting year and size. Additional NFL "authenticity code" tag below features the text "BCG8129X". Captain's patch is affixed to the right breast area. Jersey shows appropriate light game wear and has a custom hem at the bottom. After being drafted by the Falcons in 1991 out of Southern Mississippi, Brett Favre was traded to the Green Bay Packers on February 10, 1992 for the 19th pick in the 1992 NFL Draft. He became the Packers' starting quarterback in the fourth game of the 1992 NFL season, starting every game from then until his retirement in 2008. In 2008, Favre came out of retirement and was traded to the New York Jets, where he remained for one season. Favre is the only three-time AP MVP (1995-97) in NFL history and led the Packers to seven division championships (1995, 1996, 1997, 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2007), four NFC Championship Games (1995, 1996, 1997, and 2007), two NFC Championships (1996 and 1997), and one Super Bowl championship (XXXI). His mounting NFL records include: most career touchdown passes, most career passing yards, most career pass completions, most career pass attempts, most career interceptions thrown, most consecutive starts among NFL quarterbacks and most career victories as a starting quarterback. The offered jersey is understandably rare given Favre's brief tenure with the Jets and comes with impeccable provenance directly from the NFL. Includes LOA from Hunt Auctions, COA from the NY Jets, and COA from PSA/DNA (N58589): EX-EX/MT
