Description: Lydell Mitchell late 1970s Indianapolis Colts professional model home jersey. Blue mesh jersey features Mitchell's number 26 screened on front, back, and both sleeves. His last name is stitched on back. Medalist Sand Knit exclusive Indianapolis Colts dual tagging appears on front tail noting size "Large". Jersey shows moderate evident usage wear incl. significant areas of staining near the right shoulder and front tail affecting the tagging. The stitching on the upper tag has loosened at the left side. Mitchell established himself in the mid-1970s as one of the best all-around running backs in the NFL. Mitchell, along with teammate Bert Jones, propelled the Baltimore Colts to three consecutive AFC East Division titles. Mitchell topped the 1,000-yard rushing plateau in three consecutive seasons (1975-77) earning Pro Bowl honors each year. Originally obtained from a Baltimore Colts advertising executive.
