Description: Curt Flood's 1964 St. Louis Cardinals World Series ring. Original 14k white gold ring produced by Balfour features a large diamond in a diamond shaped setting at center surrounded by a red back stone. Encircling the perimeter are the words "St. Louis Cardinals World Champions". The left shank features a crossed bats and ball motif with Flood's number "21" and last name "Flood" bannered above. The opposite shank features Cardinals resting on a bat with the Gateway Arch looming above as well as the year "1964". The interior band is engraved "Curtis Flood" and stamped "Balfour 14k". The ring show slight usage wear. Flood had one of his most productive seasons in 1964, leading the NL in hits (211) and batting (.311), earning his first of three All-Star selections. Batting leadoff in the 1964 World Series against the New York Yankees, he hit only .200, but scored in three of the Cardinal's victories.
