Description: Lot of Curt Flood's Baseball Network correspondence and original logo artwork. The Baseball Network was an organization co-founded by Curt Flood in the late 1980s, and comprised of current and former professional baseball players and others "dedicated to facilitate the hiring, promoting and upgrading of minorities in professional sports." This lot includes nine typewritten letters on Baseball Network letterhead from Curt Flood (eight signed) pertaining to various Baseball Network business matters. Two of the letters are written to Commissioner Peter Ueberroth. Also included is a copy of Flood's groundbreaking 1969 letter to Bowie Kuhn requesting free agency and a pair of mock-up drawings for the Baseball Network logo.
