Description: Uncatalogued 1885-87 card featuring New York Giants player Tom Deasley. Oversized portrait card measures 2"x4" and features a crisp, clear portrait image of Deasley in uniform. The dimensions of the card are reminiscent of the Four Base Hits issue of the same era with the presented image of Deasley identical to the one on his N403 Yum Yum Tobacco issue without the "Washington's" lettering that is superimposed across his chest. Printing at bottom margin simply reads, "Deasley, C." Card back is blank. This unique rarity presents at the EX level with a small surface chip on the top edge and the back shows some toning from an adhesive likely used for scrapbook mounting. Irregular cuts, which appear to be period, on the left and right borders account for an "Auth." designation by SGC. Intriguing new discovery from the collection of William Mason.
