Description: Pair of figural brass baseball bat stanchions from Al Schacht's New York City restaurant c.1940s. Unique and attractive pair of cast figural brass stanchions are rendered in the form of baseball bats mounted on circular oak bases. Each piece stands 36" tall and was originally used at legendary baseball man Al Schacht's New York City restaurant. Both bats are made in three sections, which may be loosened to fasten ribbon in between to connect the stanchions. Overall fine condition with some general age/surface wear.
