Description: Spalding Fielder's figural baseball trophy c.1920s. Seldom seen, the graceful fielder standing on a metal platform reaching for a ball is the rarest of the five trophy set issued by Spalding. Figural player shows subtle repair to right arm. Engraving on side of platform upon which player stands reads "Southern York County League" and baseball below is engraved "Won by New Freedom 1930". Original wooden painted base retains Dieges & Clust metal tag. Trophy retains wonderful unpolished original patina and has only light overall age wear inclusive of some typical scratching to the black painted wooden base. 16" tall: EX w/ note to repairEstimated Price Range: ($2,000-$3,000)
